Many pensioners are interested in questions: how much they will start to receive after the next pension increase, why the indexation for two different pensioners for one year may differ not only in size but also in percentage, and why some receive a raise in January, while others have to wait longer for it.
The question of indexation of payments to the working pensioners attracts no less interest - will they get a raise next year? Let's look into these questions, paying attention to the type of pension received.
Old-age insurance pensions
This type of pension is received by citizens who have reached retirement age, accumulated the required number of points and length of service, and applied for payment. For them indexation will occur on January 1, 2023, and its size is already known for a long time: 4.8%.
This is how much the fixed part of the pension and the value of the pension coefficient will increase. Another important condition for indexation is that a pensioner should not be officially employed.
In addition, the federal and regional pensioner's subsistence minimums will be updated, which will primarily affect those who receive a pension at the lower threshold. Federal living wage will be 12,363 rubles, but in some regions it will be higher.
Working pensioners
If the recipient of an old-age insurance pension is officially employed, on January 1 he will not wait for an increase, because since 2016 there is a moratorium on the indexation of pensions for this category of pensioners. All the indexations missed by them will be taken into account only after they are dismissed. But only for future payments - nothing will be refunded for past months and years.
Despite the lack of indexation, on August 1, 2023, these pensioners will receive a raise, the amount of which depends on the pension points accumulated for the year 2022. They may receive a maximum of 3 pension points, which means that the upper threshold of the raise will be just over 350 rubles.

Here we will talk about the indexation of monthly cash payments, which are received by the disabled of all groups, veterans of the Great Patriotic War, Heroes of the USSR and the Russian Federation, Heroes of Socialist Labor and Labor of the Russian Federation, as well as some other categories of citizens.
Recalculation will be made on February 1, 2023, and its percentage will depend on the inflation rate for 2022. So at this point it is not possible to say exactly how much. However, preliminary data indicate that at the end of the year inflation will slightly exceed the mark of 12%.
Social pensions
Let's move to April 1, 2023, when the amount paid to disabled people of all groups will be recalculated again. In addition to them, those who have reached retirement age but have not been able to accumulate the minimum number of years of service and points, and some other categories of citizens will get a raise.
In this case, the size of the raise will depend on the updated pensioner's minimum subsistence level. The figure has not been finally determined, perhaps it will be set at 3-3.5%.
