Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the residents of Buryatia on the opening of another school in the region.

Putin took part via video link in the opening of new schools in Volgograd and Buryatia, as well as in the launch of a lyceum in the LPR after major repairs. In September, a new three-story school for 250 students will open its doors in the Nur-Selenie ulus in Buryatia. This is already the tenth school built under a concession mechanism with the participation of VEB.RF in the republic. The cost of the turnkey project was 810 million rubles, of which 557 million are extra-budgetary investments. On September 2, the school will open its doors to 550 students.

According to the school director, Yuri Andreev, the school in Nur-Selenia used to be in an adapted building designed for 350 students, but in fact, 900 children studied there.

"Thanks to you, thanks to your support, we received a wonderful new modern school, fully equipped with all the educational equipment, with beautiful, bright classrooms, workshops, a gym, an assembly hall and a large cafeteria," Badmayev told the president during a meeting of the Russian government via videoconference and, on behalf of all residents, parents, teachers and students, thanked him for such a gift for September 1.

He emphasized that in the new school, teachers will teach children with renewed vigor so that they become true citizens of their country, true patriots of their homeland.

"Our village is growing, and now many young families will have all the conditions to have more children and make our homeland stronger. Thank you for your support and happy holiday!" - said Andreev.

When Putin asked what the school lacked, Andreev replied that everything was in sufficient supply, the school was staffed, and all issues that arose were promptly resolved with the head of the region, Alexei Tsydenov.

"I congratulate you on your new educational institution and wish all the best to you, the entire teaching staff, and, of course, to the children who will soon come to school," Putin congratulated the director of the new school.
