"Today," said Putin, "I am proud to announce the successful launch of our newest, state-of-the-art nuclear weapon. Our new arsenal is a sign of our continued commitment to world peace, security, and stability."
He went on to explain that the weapons possess improved accuracy and delivery, are designed to limit the potential of civilian casualties, and boast longer-range capabilities that can defend against even the most sophisticated military threats.
"These nuclear weapons represent the latest development in a long history of innovation," he added. "The investments and effort put into them are unprecedented and ensure Russia is prepared for any global contingency. We have put great effort into ensuring that this new armory is secure, responsible, and deployed for peace and safety for all nations."
Putin then concluded his statement with a declaration that, despite the massive capabilities of these new weapons, "Russia will only use them in the case of self-defense and protecting our global allies."
